Super? Bowl

Meh. That’s how I feel about Super Bowl Sunday. I am totally down for any day where I am encouraged to eat my weight in finger foods, but I could not care less about the NFL football game.

There. I said it!

I am so ready to done with hearing about who should win, Deflate-gate, and how much money you are going to win after (insert football team name here) wins. Don’t brag about your could be winnings unless you’re buying me something with them. Just sayin’!

Anyone else feel this way or want to share their favorite game time snack?

90% of my bad decisions are food related…

I am a weird Southerner. This cold weather usually makes people from the South crave chili and chicken soup. Not this weirdo and world eater. The past couple weeks, all I’ve wanted to fill my belly with is Asian food. You name it, I’ve craved it. Pho, orange beef, pad thai, vermicelli bowls, banh mi, sushi, katsu pork, bulgogi etc… Don’t get me wrong, I crave Asian food at least once on a weekly basis, but this is getting out of hand. Even when I eat one of those items, I still can’t “pho-get about it” Ha! See what I did there? I guess it could be worse. I could be craving something extravagant or out of season. First world problems are the pits! Hope you are bundled up and enjoying your favorite cold weather food. As for me, I’ll just be trying to control my drooling while daydreaming of my favorite Asian dishes. Have a case of dry mouth? Feast your eyes on the following pics to solve that problem. And yes, I see what I did there using the word “feast”!

Trying to get in the health zone

As some of you may or may not know, I am currently engaged. I have been trying to eat healthier and exercise in order to feel as confident as possible! I know I shouldn’t feel pressured to lose weight to feel my best on that day, but I have been wanting to get healthier for years. This wedding just happens to be the motivator that I needed. I am a snacky/graze all day kind of girl so cutting back on that would be so hard. To make this process as painless as possible, I’ve tried to pick healthier snacks and snacks I can make at home. This week, I tried making my own granola bites with my dehydrator. I combined bananas, banana nut granola, vanilla yogurt, and cinnamon. Of course, I put cinnamon on there. Isn’t there a rule that you have to put cinnamon on everything this time of year?! I like Bear Naked granola, but you can use any brand/flavor you like! They aren’t the prettiest snacks, but they sure hit the spot! Must have will power and not eat them all in one sitting! Keep your fingers, toes, and eyes crossed for me!
